I just made the acquaintance of this internet contraption, thanks to my friend Michael. I like it here in Parare just fine, you might even say that it’s it the cards that I live here, but there just aren’t enough people! Everyone’s here to stay but no one ever seems to arrive. I want more friends, but it’s also in the cards that I am usually unavailable. So, I’m going to toss my little S.O.S. into the ocean. Come! Help! Give me someone to write to!

Hi Mabel, Red here. I hope Scott does well in the tourney! It will be my first time in it, so I doubt I'll even place, so I'll be part of your cheering section.

A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Red. I also hope that Scott does well… I am still unsure if he is a snake in the grass or not, but if he doesn’t do well papa is going to be in a right heap of trouble.
It’s very cold up here these days. Everyone is bundled up and shivering. It seems that just yesterday it was warm and sunny, but now everything is cold and white. The thoughts of the boat tournament are keeping everyone’s spirits up, and should until the weather warms up.
